my girls can't tell me nothing, i'm gone in the brain.

dress: c/o love
lipstick: ruby tuesday by maxfactor

hello lovelies
this is the dress i won on natasha's blog as she hosted a in love with fashion giveaway last month.
i love this dress (no pun intend...or is it...) the open back is divine and peter pan collar is sooo cute!
the roses in my garden at this time of year are so lush, mama put them in a vase in my room as well (i'm allowed them because they die anyway, clearly didn't inherit any gardening skills)
i think its nice seeing the garden change in the background of my photographs through out the year, but thats probably just me.
not much to report apart from I GOT A JOB, okay breath now....so i celebrated by making coffee kisses and listened to beyonce loudly.
i reaalllyyy want to start taking pictures again (apart from of myself for the blog) i miss it so much, i think if i didn't take the blog ones i would go crazy.
i have a couple of beautiful new models lined up so hopefully their pretty little faces will be popping up here soon!

we gonna show this town how to kiss these stars.

top:tesco
jeans:gift (H&M)
ring:ebay
tired facial expression:life of late

hello lovelies
this is a pretty casual outfit for me, i know you see me in dresses most of the time, however i spend a large amount of my time pottering about in jeans.
i hardly wear 'strappy' tops because i think they're very hard to get right but i picked this bad boy up a couple of summers ago in teccys as i loved the print!
oh and i just realised my nail varnish matches my jeans (wasn't intentional!)
today i helped mama with her riding for the disabled picnic ride and managed to get burnt (my pictures are not over exposed i am just that pale) but it was worth it for the happy looks on their faces and the BBQ after!
i was naughty the other day and went shopping in cambridge (i was hungover so that did slightly dampen my shopping enthusiasm) i did manage to get my mitts on these primark trousers that everyone had been lusting over and some bits for holiday, so i feel a bit more prepared than i did before.
i have been spending lots of time with the boy which is so nice after a year at uni were we only got see each other once a month (i will try not to bore you with our adventures too much).

hello lovelies
the boy and i took blondie out for a stroll the other day, so you can have a peak into our very mature relationship....
also don't worry he's not actually riding the dog before any of you do gooders ring the RSPCA (its all cool, she was amused by the whole thing)
this was when the weather was actually nice, now its poo. i will stop being english and complaining about the weather now.
i keep looking at lovely holiday clothes that i want and can't buy, its painful but i am so excited to go away, however i have been looking through my wardrobe and wondering whats holiday 'appropriate' so if anyone spies anything they think would be good for holiday clothes on my blog give me shout and i will put it in the suitcase!
the boy and i are off to le havre in france (not yet, but in a few weeks), so if any of you beauties have been let me know any good spots/shops ect (being a saddo i got excited by the fact our hotel has 'individually decorated rooms)
what does everyone want to take on holiday?

love on top.

breakfast in bed with the boy- new magazines and a gift- my favourite mugs (saddo i know)- bunting in our beach themed front garden.

hello lovelies!
hope everyones had a good week and enjoying the weekend.
as some of you may have read i have had a very busy week (for once, oh the life of an unemployed student, but i'm working on it) the latter part of my week wasn't quite as hectic, i did my normal trip to the mad lands of grandparents vile, the boy stayed round and we watched madagascar 2 (oh so funny, even if i did fall asleep...it was the beer okay...)
mama took me out to the cafe that i had applied to but not got the job at (just rub it mama, rub it in) however the food was proper tasty so my embarrassment was forgotten.
today i finally built up the courage and enthusiasm to apply for two jobs and write cover letters for both (i am not the best at talking about myself in a non jokey kind of way but the boy, papa and berry were all great helps!)
tonight granny is taking us out to dinner which will be lovely and the weather is just about okay enough to wear something nice.
i have reached two hundred followers as well!
so a big huge massive thank you and lots of kisses go to charlie and katy for being massive babes and featuring me on their blogs over the last week, and to you old and new followers you all get big kisses as well!

cause you're all i'm after.

hello lovelies!
yesterday i went to the V&A with granny, aunty jen and steph to see the ball gowns exhibition and oh my goodness it was the prettiest, most beautiful thing ever! sadly you can't take pictures otherwise i would be overloading you with pictures (more than normal) however i hadn't been to the fashion section since it had a make over, and it looks fab!
before the exhibition we had tea (waiting for steph as per) and lunch (which i ate too quickly to photograph but it was luuuuush), we also had a wander round the gift shop as we had a little bit of time to kill and i found bruce the moose's family! (bruce lives above my bed and he's not actually a moose..)
whilst going round the exhibition we played the game of if you had to have one of the dresses which one would it be (best game evvzzz) i went for a feathery mcqueen number as aunty jen stole the jenny packam! (not literally as that would be bad and pretty tricky...)
after the exhibition it was obviously time for tea and cake!
today i am at my photoshoot for scout eyewear (this is scheduled duuurrr) and i'm hoping i will have decided what to wear and managed to get up hideously early!
if you do get a chance to go to the exhibition i highly recommend it!

just keep me where the light is.

hello lovelies
so the more observant of you will have noticed a have a new blog header and a button (that you can pop on your blog if you fancy) and if you haven't noticed then shame on you because its bloody beautiful.
it was designed by my good friend (that makes us sound forty doesn't it..) rebecca duff-smith (lolz not used to calling her that but got to be profesh' and stuff)
anywayyysssss she is a bit of a wizard with a black muji pen, and she is rather handy with the ol' 3d stuff as well.
this is her blog: http://rduffs.tumblr.com/
she studied her foundation at central saint martins (got a distinction cause she is fab) and is studying graphic design there next year
its fair to say she is god amongst art teachers, and i wish i was as godily as her with my drawing skillzzz (but not her driving skills, thats a story for another day)

hope you're all in awe of her work, cause i am!
thank you for making my blog beautiful rduffs, you are truly fab.

playsuit: c/o motel rocks
lipstick: ruby tuesday by maxfactor

hello lovelies!
a few weeks ago the lovely selina at motel rocks contacted me and offered to send me a gorgeous item from their collection, i chose this pippa playsuit and i love it!
if you look at my sidebar you can see that motel are offering you beautiful readers a fifteen percent discount with the code -TOPBLOG15- plus till the end of the jubilee they're offering a twenty-five percent discount with the code JUBILEE25!
this playsuit makes me think of grease, the collar especially, i like pulling it up a and pretending i'm cool..(like rizzo)
i chose to pair it with my lipstick i got myself for my birthday, its not my perfect red but its pretty close (sometimes all you need is lipstick!)
my internet has been playing up so much lately so if i drop off the side of the world then that will be why, i will be sat at my laptop cursing bt wireless!
this weekend i rewatched the it crowd and forgot how flipping funny it was (made me snort with laughter, sexy i know) and how much i want to marry moss because we have matching glasses...
i'm off to a jungle themed party this week and have decided to go as the nights sky in the jungle, so i can wear glitter and my jumpsuit but i haven't a clue what shoes to wear!
hope everyones had a lovely jubilee bank holiday!

sweet dreams till sunbeams find you.

hello lovelies!
as todays weather is a bit poo i thought i would share a recipe that you might enjoy on a wet sunday afternoon if you're missing out on any jubilee shananigans.
i got the recipe from here and it is very easy to make (it makes a LOT of cookies) mine haven't turned out the neatest as they were a bit close to each other on the tray but they taste delicious. i used a mix of toblerone and some hotel chocolat stuff i had left over from my birthday instead of chocolate chips.

Ingredients
  • 225g (8 oz) butter, softened
  • 200g (7 oz) caster sugar
  • 225g (8 oz) dark brown soft sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 dessertspoon vanilla essence
  • 375g (13 oz) plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 dessertspoon hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 350g (12 oz) chocolate chips

Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 10 mins
1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.

2. Cream together the butter, caster sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
3.Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
4.Dissolve bicarbonate of soda in hot water.
5.Add to batter along with salt.
6.Stir in flour, chocolate chips and nuts.
7.Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased baking trays.

8..Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

9.Enjoy with a cup of tea (or other hot beverage, whatever tickles your fancy).
now I'm off to watch jazz in the cold outside a pub, with my huge barbour on (may have to slip inside for a warming JD and coke, shhh its a secret)
