hello!
how lush was the weather in laaaandan today!?
although the wind was not my friend in the hair department as you can see...
despite being pretty bruised at battered after falling down some stairs on thursday (my left leg is a mess) this weekend has been so so lovely.
jay and i went out for dinner last night for an early anniversary meal (two years next sunday eek!) we went to jamies italian at westfield stratford and i highly recommend the early grey martinis, ahhhmaaazzziinnggg!
today we fully embraced the sunshine today with a big bowl of fruit for breakfast on the balcony, a walk in victoria park, a glass of pimms (first one of the year in that pub apparently!) ice cream and emergency sandal buying!

i'll be alone, dancing and you know it baby.

jacket:ebay
dress: asos
scarf and bag: vintage
necklace: this charming girl
shoes: new look

aloah pretties!
i nabbed this little green skater number when the asos had their massive student discount, this was a cheeky fourteen pounds.
the skater shape is one of those that just 'works' for me (work it baaaaby work it, heheeehe)
i now need a grey one, i've been stalking ebay for one...
i've really been craving some sunshine and warmth lately after a very grey week with some disappointing things but after the sunshine yesterday i'm feeling a bit brighter happier.
i've included some of my recent purchases, the topshop bralet was only a fiver!

3. some new beauty bits, i got rimmel appcalips in luna (which looks like this on) and a mascara that i've only ever heard good things about (plus it was on offer)

4. fizzy laces to get me through my deadlines...ahem...

5. this years sandals that where purchased when it was lovely and hot in london because my feet felt like they were being roasted in my brogues.

in other exciting new i have been shortlisted for 'best use of photography' in the company style blogger awards, THIS IS CRAZAAAY!
thank you so so much to all of you who voted i did not at all expect to be short listed at all!!

i order this necklace about two months ago from ebay and it only just turned up a couple of days ago and i haven't stopped wearing it since.
i know i'm back to my shabby student back garden but i will try do take prettier pictures as much as possible, promise.
i wanted to show you a few pretty things that have come my way lately
the joules beauties were from jays mama, they all smell so lush!
i won the lush goodies from tillys blog giveaway, there were some other bits that i have eaten and are sitting on my feet.
i nabbed these when i was in westfield the other weekend, they're a bit silly but i love them!

saving all my love for you.

hello lovelies
i thought i would share some of my little purchases over the last few weeks, i'm currently tucked up on the sofa trying to do work with a horrible horrible headache.

1. mittens from primark, now its getting colder my badly circulating hands are suffering (for two pounds you can't really say no)

2. company magazines december issue, i have been trying to track it down for ages in so'ton but finally found it tucked away behind an elle!

3. the only moisturiser i use on my body, i though it was just going to be a pot of the creme (like in the bottle) but this is pretty solid and a bit oiler but it still makes my skin silky soft.

4. bad bad liv, i have shoe issues i know.

5. i managed to nab myself an advent calendar in asda, as i picked it up the boy said 'are you reaaalllllyyyyy getting a peppa pig advent calendar?'

6. my new favourite lip balm, it smells devine.

p.s. the boy and i made a roast on sunday (well my only contribution was roast potatoes)

hello lovelies
this weekend i made lots of food and cuddled under the duvet with my favourite boy (soppy liv...)
after last thursdays shenanigans with uni the next day i really didn't feel like doing too much, however i had my first shift in the southampton crew which was so busy compared to little saffron walden!
today i was veerrryyyy naughty and went for a nandos for lunch with e and her boyf but the weather is naff so i justified it in my head somehow...
i ordered my new winter coat, now i have to wait 20-24 days impatiently for it.
i feel like all i wear is the same things at the moment, has everyone enjoyed my latest outfit posts or are they a bit dull?

singing standing tall it's now coming easy.

pretty oven gloves from the boys mama - 99p store nail varnish - oxfam books for bedtime reading - emma bridgewater notelets from the boys mama as well (she knows i'm forgetful) - beautiful zatchels bag from mama

hello lovelies
i have been shopping for my second year, i got all the important bits last year so this time rounds its a tad cheaper (apart from having to pay rent for my house over the last three months, hence why i've been working all the time)

i thought i would share some tips for those of you who haven't left yet.

1. poundland and the 99p shop are your best friends, the other day i got a clock for ninety nine pence (lets hope it works). its so useful for getting baking trays, pastry brushes, saucepans and frying pans from, especially as if you lose them (as you will in halls) then you can replace them cheaply! however i did have nice mugs and no one was allowed to use them as well as my plates and bowels which were also pretty (it just makes eating nicer, especially if you like pretty things)

2. wilkinsons, QD and the range are good for pretty but practical things (primark also do nice tea towels and decorations)

3. do be ashamed to get items from the children's section, i got some bunting and a bin which are lovely!

4. don't skimp on duvet, pillows, covers ect, they will be the things you spend most of your life in.

5. when your parents take you on a 'big shop' get those HUGE bags of pasta, powdered milk and teabags, they will be your lifesavers when you have just three pounds to your name (no joke it happens) but also get meat and freeze it as its bloody expensive, unless you live off eighty nine pence sausages like i did.

6. take big packets of washing powder and fabric softener and vanish (those red wine staines don't just disappear)  LEARN HOW TO USE A WASHING MACHINE, you will be everyones best friend (as well as being able to cook) you'll be surprised at how many people cannot do washing.

7. ikea is god of storage, you will need it.

hope this is helpful, any questions are welcome!
i cannot believe i'm off to so'ton again next sunday, i've missed my girls and getting drunk on a week day.
the boy went off to london for his first year yesterday (feels like he's been gone longer), he's doing geology the clever clogs.
good luck to everyone doing their first year and hope everyone else enjoys their second and third years!

in our own world.

hello lovelies!
hope you're all well and are having a wonderful summer, i am trying to get my brain round the fact that i'm going back to uni in under a month (ahhhh second year panic panic!)

1. i didn't take very many pictures on our seaside adventure because i was having such a lovely time, i know its very unlike me but i go back quite often so next time i go i will show you how beautiful it is there. we stayed at my aunty and uncles campsite which i highly recommend (not bias..honest!)

2 & 3. mama bought these lovelies back from her trip to the edinburgh festival (so jel', its my favourite holiday)

4. surprise surprise liv chose a cream knitted jumper as part of her work uniform...classic.

5. when the boy and i were visiting my family in norfolk on our seaside adventure i picked up this little gem in a shop called indigo bay.

6. liss gave me my very late birthday gift (my birthday is in may) but never late than better, especially if its cath kidston!

7. i decided it was time for a new purse i have had my tweed old lady one for four years and it still faintly smells like cat (i think i new purse is a good omen for being better with money)
