sweet dreams till sunbeams find you.

hello lovelies!
as todays weather is a bit poo i thought i would share a recipe that you might enjoy on a wet sunday afternoon if you're missing out on any jubilee shananigans.
i got the recipe from here and it is very easy to make (it makes a LOT of cookies) mine haven't turned out the neatest as they were a bit close to each other on the tray but they taste delicious. i used a mix of toblerone and some hotel chocolat stuff i had left over from my birthday instead of chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 200g (7 oz) caster sugar
  • 225g (8 oz) dark brown soft sugar
  • 2 eggs

  • 375g (13 oz) plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 dessertspoon hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 350g (12 oz) chocolate chips

Preparation method

2. Cream together the butter, caster sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
3.Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
4.Dissolve bicarbonate of soda in hot water.
5.Add to batter along with salt.
6.Stir in flour, chocolate chips and nuts.
7.Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased baking trays.

8..Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

9.Enjoy with a cup of tea (or other hot beverage, whatever tickles your fancy).
now I'm off to watch jazz in the cold outside a pub, with my huge barbour on (may have to slip inside for a warming JD and coke, shhh its a secret)
